This Archive Centre hosts an extensive collection of maps, records, stories and historic material relating to the ancient county of Kent. The collections are made up of printed, original manuscripts and audio-visual material. It is open to all, offering a range of activities and spaces to enjoy and also reading rooms for research. Be sure to contact their team in advance of your trip so you can make the most of your visit. They are hugely helpful, but are most helpful when they know in advance what and who you are researching.

You may also find useful the information on Find My Past which can be accessed without a visit to the Centre.
Parish registers dated before 1920 held by the Kent Archive service are now available to view and search on FindMyPast.
