HUSSEY Family History

This interesting surname, chiefly found in Scotland, has a number of possible sources. Firstly, it may be of Norman origin, and locational from Houssaye, a place in Seine-Maritime, so called from the Old French "hous", holly. I am interested in Hussey genealogy in Westmeath and Roscommon Counties.

I am from a small and almost extinct branch of the Hussey family in Co. Westmeath, Ireland. I am very interested in Genealogy and family history and I have done a fair amount of research on my family tree but i have yet plenty to do. I would love to hear from any Husseys who might have links to Westmeath in particular or who have an interest in the family history.
